If you haven’t seen it yet, hurry - well, click furiously - over to A Brief Guide About Bridesmaids. This is a term 3 infographic project by three Digital Design students, Nicolas Alexander, Yaniv Fridman, and Amber MacKay. It’s a quirky, lighthearted look at bridesmaids, their history, and their cultural importance - look at it as a response to that pejorative phrase “always a bridesmaid.”

Anyway, the craftsmanship of the piece has struck a chord, and it’s already being blogged all over the place. The kicker is the wealth of “making of” material the team put together.

We’ve seen a couple of the other infographics produced in the class, and they’re similarly awesome. Keep an eye out!

Update: Not long after we posted this, the piece got singled out in the “Quickies” section of Motionographer.com - a major milestone for any motion designer! The Motionographer link praises Bridesmaids for its “clever type and clean design.”
