Vancouver Student Film Festival 2008

The Vancouver Student Film Festival is coming up fast - May 24, 2008 at the Vancity Theatre. Tickets are on sale now to this showcase of some of the best student and alumni filmmakers the province has to offer.

Advance tickets are $8 for single and $14 for the full double bill - check vsff.com. At the door, they’re still a very reasonable $10 single and $16 double bill, but the screenings will be popular, so you’re better off to book them in advance. There will be awards, and the panel of judges includes everyone from Uwe Boll to indie toast-of-the-town Gwen Haworth.

For VFS’s part, the festival will feature screenings of Percy Kiyabu’s popular After Oz (3D Animation & Visual Effects), and Classical Animation grads Jae Hyun Lee’s off-the-wall A Trick of the Wind and Tammy Dubinsky’s madcap Hold the Mustard.
