Parallels Wins Triggerstreet!
Friday November 07th 2008, 8:44 am

It was a long time coming – feels like we’ve been writing about it forever – but Parallels, the lauded doc directed by Film Production’s Paul St. Amand at VFS in 2006, has won the 2008 Triggerstreet Online Short Film Festival!

The site was founded by Kevin Spacey as a way for filmmakers to build community and gain exposure. The judges for this round were director Sam Mendes, actors Robin Williams and Jeff Goldblum, and musicians Rufus Wainwright, Roger Waters, and Dave Stewart.

See the Triggerstreet announcement here, and Variety’s here.

Incidentally, of the three awards this festival has given out since its inception, two have now gone to Film Production grads for shorts they made at VFS – the other being Matthew Nie for Good Stuff.
