Jennica Harper is a screenwriter, story editor, and poet who moved to Vancouver in 1998 to study creative writing at UBC, where she earned her MFA. She has had a variety of feature projects in development including The Clockwork Girl (an adaptation of the Arcana Kids comic book), Or Best Offer (Ajani Entertainment), Long Shot (Howe Sound Films), and How I Learned to be the Bridesmaid from Hell. Her TV projects include the original series Top Secretary (Omni Film) and Mayor Jake (Howe Sound Films).
Jennica has been commissioned to write or rewrite a number of features, including Year of the Carnivore (Screen Siren/Sook Yin Lee), Love, Americano (Robison Films/Massey Productions), The Marriage Celebrant (Diva Films/Crescent Entertainment), and Spymate (Keystone Pictures).
In addition, Jennica is an accomplished poet, and has two published books of poetry to her credit: What It Feels Like for a Girl (Anvil Press, 2008) and The Octopus and Other Poems (Signature Editions, 2006), as well as a comic book, Abigail’s War (Zeros2Heroes Media, 2008).
