Behind the Scenes

The planned location fell through 5 days before the shoot, so the crew had to rush to prepare a studio for the bedroom scenes. According to writer/director Jean-Sebastien Di Fruscia, “When I look at this now, I’m very glad it happened, because the director of photography and I had so much more liberty to create the tone and mood that we needed for those scenes.”

Film Production at Vancouver Film School

Students in the one-year Film Production program at VFS, mentored by respected film professionals, learn filmmaking from top to bottom while they direct, produce, write, shoot, design, and edit short dramas and documentaries that become their calling cards in the industry.

Student films made at VFS have premiered at major festivals around the world, including Cannes, Tribeca, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Vancouver, and graduates have been honored at the Emmys and Independent Spirit Awards.
