Stephanie Powers
Production Manager
Canadian-born Stephanie Powers successfully navigated a twenty year career in criminal justice before deciding to become a filmmaker. With her lifelong personal hobbies of videography, graphics, and sound design, film became the ideal choice to combine her creativity with her world experience.
Starting her film career at 41, Stephanie's first film was a documentary - a poignant look at a unique, complimentary treatment for cancer: Laughing at Cancer. Shortly after, Stephanie wrote and directed two shorts: How to Get Rid of Your Ex-Wife's Body and White Rabbit. Currently employed as the Production Manager for Film Production at Vancouver Film School, Stephanie still enjoys directing as the opportunities become available.
