Women in Games Scholarship
Each year, Game Design Expo features scholarship opportunities toward attending the one-year Game Design program at Vancouver Film School. Since 2007, many of Vancouver's industry-leading companies have contributed to the growth of the next generation of game designers, ensuring they have the support needed to focus on becoming better at their craft.
Inaugurated in 2009, the Women in Games scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship for one female game designer and aims to increase the profile of, and opportunities for, women in the game industry. Previous winners include Shannon Lee, Annie Dickerson, and Larissa Baptista.
Applications for the 2012 Women in Games scholarship are now being accepted. To apply for this full-tuition scholarship, download the application kit and follow the written instructions.
