To understand the screenwriter's role in the film industry, writing students must experience every stage of the production process from the writer's perspective. In the Portfolio Shorts course, students pitch and write 3-4 minute short films. Directors from the Vancouver film industry area attached, and guide the writer through their part of development, pre-production, and production.
