Pacific Cinémathèque Theatre Rental
for Film & Video Projection
The Pacific Cinémathèque's 210-seat theatre located at 1131 Howe Street, Vancouver, is available for rental on Tuesday evenings, and during the day (9:00am - 6:00pm) seven days a week.
Rental Includes:
Staff:
projectionist, management, box office, concession and janitorial personnel.
Equipment:
Cinémathèque makes available all its existing equipment:
- 16mm Film Projector
- 35mm Film Projectors with Dolby Surround
- 1/2" & 3/4" NTSC Video Decks
- Video Projector
- Microphones (6 microphones, with floor or table stands)
- Spotlights
Cinémathèque equipment may only be operated by Cinémathèque personnel. All additional equipment requirements beyond the exisitng capacity of Cinémathèque shall be at the expense of the renting organization.

Cinémathèque makes available allpublic access areas:
- auditorium (seating capacity 210)
- lobby
- patio
- ground floor washrooms
Concession:
The Cinémathèque operates the concession stand (if requested) and retains all revenues.
Coffee Service:
Coffee service is available at a cost of $6.00/pot.
Rental Price:
The cost of renting the Pacific Cinémathèque is $330.00 for a four-hour minimum period, or $82.50/hour. Rental occupancy includes a 45-minute period befor the event, and fifteen minutes after, to allow for set-up and clean-up.
Cancellations:
The renting organization must give PCP a minimum two weeks notice of cancellation of any event.
The booking Organization is responsible for all film booking/shipping/rental arrangements and costs, and all promotion and publicity for its events at the Cinémathèque (if it is a public event, you are invited to advertise in our bi-monthly film program). Any catering or Liquor service must be arranged by the renting organization. A Liquor License must be obatined by the renting organization is liquor is to be served.
