Film Reference Library and Study Centre
Thousands of film-related books, monographs, encyclopedias, journals, magazines, catalogues, film scripts, and still photographs await the cinephile and reserarcher. From David Clandfield's Canadian Film to Peter Cowie's Finnish Cinema to Annette Kuhn's The Women's Companion to International Film, from American CinematographertoThe Canadian Journal of Film Studies to The Velvet Light Trap, this far-ranging collection is international in scope, but with special emphasis on works pertaining to the Canadian cinema, and on the major Canadian and Quebecois film journals.
The Film Reference Library and Study Centre is located at Suite 200, 1131 Howe Street, Vancouver. The hours of operation are 11am to 4pm. Monday thru Friday. Vancouver residents, please call 688-8202 to make an appointment. Access to the library*s catalogue will soon be available on-line. Stay tuned!
Film Studies Collection
International classics on 16mm, are maintained for educational use. The collection includes most of the major works of Soviet master Sergei Eisenstein, the only circulation prints in Canada of Resnais' Hiroshima, Mon Amour and Antonioni's The Eclipse, important masterpieces by Renoir, Rossellini, and Hitchcock, and many landmark works of the German, French, Soviet and American cinemas.

Facility
Pacific Cinémathèque screenings take place at our own 210-seat
theatre housed at 1131 Howe Street, Vancouver. This theatre is
available for rental on Tuesday evenings and during the day (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) seven days a week.
West Coast Film Archives
Dedicated to the preservation of independent West Coast Canadian films, and containing several hundred titles on 16mm, this unique resource conserves the heritage of a distinctive regional film culture, and includes a substantial collection of works by celebrated experimental filmmakers David Rimmer and Al Razutis, as well as important early films by such prominent West Coast filmmakers as Sandy Wilson, Philip Borsos, Tom Braidwood, Sturla Gunnarsson, Al Sens and Kirk Tougas.
